A Super Aiken Summer Classic

The AMW Stables team had a great time during week one of the Aiken Summer Classic at Bruce’s Field from June 14-18. Lots of great riding and perfect horses made for a fun and memorable show.

Sarasen Jablon and Crocodile Rock rocked the USHJA Pony Hunter Derby Championship -East, where ther’re placed eighth overall and fifth in the Classic Round! They also had great ribbons all week in the Large Pony Hunters as well as the medal classes.

Christine Jablon and Winston won two classes and earned other top ribbons to claim the Adult Amateur Hunter, 36-49, championship.

Hadley Rodwell and Angelica made their presence known in the equitation, taking top-three ribbons over fences and on the flat in the 11 and under section.

McClaine Cobb and HTS Mile High Club put together some great rounds in a huge Children’s Hunter, 14 and under, section, and they placed fifth in the NAL/WIHS Children’s Hunter Classic.

Lulu Hardie and Quintender moved up to the 3’3” Junior Hunters and jumped to fantastic ribbons., including two fourth places over fences.

Lee Odum and Amoroso joined us this week and had some great rounds in the Adult Amateur, 18-35, section, and Rehling De Roos’ Crypto Crusader moved up to the 2’6” level and had some ribbon-winning rounds in the USHJA Hunters with Annie aboard.

Over in the jumper rings, the AMW team continued to excel. Esme Melchior and Fernando ES Z clocked around the Low Children’s/Adult Jumpers and earned great ribbons. They also had a win in a Training Jumper 1.0m class for a great week of clear jumping performances. Alison Segura rode Zydegeaux to two blue ribbons in the .85m Training Jumpers with great performances.
