WEC is Wonderful For AMW Stables

Sarasen Jablon and Crocodile Rock won the WEC Pony Hunter Derby during Week III.

Our first excursion to the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, is a wrap! The Ocala Winter Spectacular IV was just as successful as Winter III, as you’ll read below, and we all had so much fun January 16-29!

Congratulations to our whole team on a wonderful show and those behind the scenes, as well, including grooms, parents, spouses, children and friends! Also, a big thanks to my saving grace, Jordan Lubow, for loaning me her wonderful girls to help tackle the second week and for of all her help. It really does take a village, and I’m thankful for everyone!

Sarasen Jablon and Kingstown

Sarasen Jablon enjoyed success on her longtime partner, Crocodile Rock and her brand new horse, Kingstown. Sarasen and “Gator” began WEC with the victory in the WEC Pony Hunter Derby. They continued their momentum during week 2, with the Pony Equitation championship.

But Kingstown wasn’t to be denied his time in the winner’s circle. In Sarasen’s first show with the talented bay, they earned the Low Children’s Hunter championship and won the Classic with scores of 86 and 87. Such an impressive debut!

Christine Jablon and Winston

Christine Jablon and her Winston added more impressive ribbons to their collection in the Adult Hunters. They also tackled their first Hunter Derby together, earning an 84 (top score) in the first round. Christine also won a Low Adult Equitation over fences class, and the pair won a very competitive Low Adult Hunter under saddle.

McClaine Cobb and HTS Mile High Club had their best rounds yet in a huge Low Children’s Hunter section. McClaine won the Low Children’s Equitation on the Flat and received great ribbons in the hunters. The pair had two awesome trips in their first derby together, placing seventh in the WEC 2’6” Non-Pro Hunter Derby.

Esme Melchoir and Fernando ES Z moved up to the 1.0m jumpers and had solid and fast rounds, earning some top ribbons out of so many horses including third in a Low Adult Jumper 2b class.

Hadley Rodwell and Angelica

Lulu Hardie and Greymeadows Charleston rocked the Large Ponies with top ribbons and also sixth in the WEC Pony Hunter Derby.

Hadley Rodwell and Angelica continued AMW’s great performances in the ponies. They had great trips in the Small Green Ponies, earning a third and other top ribbons. Hadley and Angelica also did the WEC Pony Derby and placed eighth out of a huge field.

Fernando ES Z

Caroline Oliverio and Thinking Out Loud crushed the Small/Medium Children's Ponies with tricolor ribbons all weekend and a ribbon in every single class they contested during the week. They also scored an 81 in the Classic round for fifth overall.

Catherine Clark and CRF Caramellow had some great rounds in a huge Long Stirrup section, including a third and fifth over fences.

Rehling De Roos’ Thoroughbred Crypto Crusader contested his first 2' classes with his mom. They received great ribbons and big efforts in the Long Stirrup Hunters and Equitation for ribbons in nearly every class.

Hardie Horses LLC’s Cassius Del Caribe Z and Annie Walters captured the 2’9” Young Hunter championship during week 2, winning four out of five classes. “This coming 5-year-old is already a superstar, and I can't wait to see where he goes,” said Annie. “Thank you again Jordan Lubow for finding this perfect boy!”

AMW Stables’ Kapucino De Fremis is moving his way into the jumper ring. With his superb jumping style he’s a perfect fit, and he’s enjoyed going fast with Annie in the irons. He placed second and third in his debut in this new ring. We are so excited about his future!
